Job description

Mansfield Autism Statewide Service (MASS) is an independent not for profit organisation, supporting young people and their families living with autism. At Mansfield Autism we work alongside families to instil understanding, confidence and determination to create the best possible outcomes for people with autism and their families.

We offer a wide range of services for individuals and families living with autism. Our services have been designed as a ‘wrap around’ model – each service complements and enhances the quality of care we provide our clients.

Mansfield Autism is undergoing a $50m expansion on a 100 acre farm on the outskirts of Mansfield. It will be home to new facilities and expanded services and programs, so that we can support more families.

Job Description:

With the expansion comes an increase in employment opportunities across the entire organisation and an increased demand on the internal Human Resources function. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Human Resources Officer to join our team. The Human Resources Officer will play a key role in the employment lifecycle, supporting our employees and ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes within the organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the recruitment and selection process, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making job offers.
  • Coordinate new employee onboarding and induction programs.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist with performance management processes, including performance appraisals and employee development plans.
  • Handle employee relations issues and provide guidance on HR-related matters.
  • Conduct training sessions on HR policies, procedures, and compliance topics.
  • Stay up-to-date on employment laws and regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable laws.
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources.
  • 1+ years of experience in Human Resources roles.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary
  • Generous leave allowances, with above-Award provisions for Personal and Carers Leave and Annual Leave
  • Not-for-profit Salary packaging
  • Small team allowing exposure to all areas of the business as a valued team member

If you are passionate about Human Resources and are looking for an opportunity to make a positive impact within a dynamic organization, we encourage you to apply.
