The Company:
The Fitzroy Group produces steelmaking coal from assets situated in the world-renowned Bowen Basin of Central Queensland.
The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, in this newly created position, the HR Specialist will provide professional and confidential generalist Human Resources support to Fitzroy Australia Resources.
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Systems & Processes
- Project manage the selection and implementation of new HR related processes and systems
- Support the ongoing improvement of key HR processes/transactions
Policies & Procedures
- Monitor and review existing policies and procedures to ensure legislative compliance and for ongoing improvement and currency
- Develop, draft and coordinate the communication and implementation of new policies and procedures
Industrial relations:
- Support enterprise bargaining through the ongoing monitoring of industry enterprise agreements
- Preparation of data analysis to support agreement making
- Coordination of documentation associated with agreement making
Metrics & Reporting
- Development and delivery of key HR related metrics
- Prepare monthly and ad hoc reports
- Develop and provide metrics for industry and government reporting
Remuneration and Benefits
- Support the annual salary review process
- Maintain key remuneration data
- Provide data for salary survey inputs
- Maintain key information related to the Fitzroy benefits program
Organisational Development
- Support engagement and cultural initiatives
- Assist with the development of HR related leader education
- Support the development of apprentice, trainee and graduate programs
- Assist with the development of employee related communication materials
Team
- Participate as a member of the HR team
- Ensure professional, timely and constructive communication with both the HR team and leaders across the organisation
About You:
You will be an experienced Human Resources/People & Culture Advisor or Business Partner. You will have a working knowledge of the Fair Work Act. You will have demonstrated Generalist Human Resources experience, advanced excel skills, job benchmarking and exposure to enterprise bargaining.
