About the Role
This desirable role in our Innovation Services (TechLab) Team would be suited for the most curious Occupational Hygienist wanting to embrace, guide and communicate technological advances and solutions in this sector.

You will be responsible for the planning, deployment and ongoing support of all technology solutions developed by our Team. You will apply your knowledge of occupational hygiene to educate and guide our clients towards best practice controls. This is a unique position. GCG experts will provide you with the necessary support and coaching to ensure your success and implementation in this exciting role.
Scoping and Planning Solution Deployments
- Facilitate solution-scoping workshops with clients to identify suitable solutions.
- Provide hygiene support to the GCG Business Development Manager and Innovation Team.
- Develop deployment and communication plans for client adoption.
- Identify and comply with applicable client change management requirements.
- Provide hygiene support to our GCG TechLab Administrator throughout solution configuration.
On-Site Solution Deployment
- Liaise with our clients to implement plans on site or remotely.
- Identify, manage and effectively communicate with key project stakeholders.
Ongoing Solution Support
- Create reports for clients on solution data (including recommendations).
- Design and deliver presentations to client stakeholders with solution metrics.
- Proactive engagement with clients to assist with positive solution impacts.
- Provision of on-site and remote technical support as required.
About You
The ideal candidate is an Occupational Hygienist with a passion for finding solutions for clients who enjoys working directly with decision makers internally and externally. As a Practitioner in your field, you will be facilitating workshops and can confidently present technical information in an interesting manner to engage a broad audience ranging from executives to workers onsite.
You will be an enthusiastic and supportive team-player with well developed problem-solving skills. You can demonstrate attention to detail, good organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks through to completion.
Qualification and Experience
Essential skills/experience:
- Qualifications in Occupational Hygiene, WHS, Chemistry, Engineering, Science or related disciplines (mandatory).
- 2+ years of occupational hygiene experience (mandatory).
- Strong relationship & account management skills.
- A genuine interest in technology and innovation.
Desirable skills/experience:
- Previous experience in the mining and/or construction industry.
- Familiarity with the internet of things and real-time monitoring devices, along with experience in software solutions available with client/site deployment.
- Experience in organisational or operational change management.
- Understanding and a keen ability to coach employees and/or small groups.
- Holding, or the eligibility to quickly obtain, Full Membership (MAIOH) of the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists (AIOH).

- Ability to understand, conceptualise and communicate solutions.
- Genuine interest in researching relevant products and solutions to gain further knowledge in technological advances in the sector.
