Eden Ritchie is seeking an ICT Procurement Specialist to undertake activities relating to ICT procurement to meet the needs of the Department. The role will involve a high level of complex ICT procurement activities, including multiple ongoing ICT projects that require contract variations and extensions.
The role will report directly to the Procurement & Contracts Manager, however, will require close liaison with the ICT Director and Senior Program Manager within the Information Communication and Technology Services (ICTS) branch.
- 3 month contract with possible 2 x 6 months extension

As the ICT Procurement Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Assist with preparing briefing notes for approval by senior and executive level management.
- Prepare IT related procurement and evaluation plans.
- Prepare ICT procurement and evaluation plans.
- Prepare tender (Request for Quote (RFQ) or Invitation to Offer (ITO)) documentation and associated attachments.
- Assist business units in understanding the procurement process within Department, including setting expectations and timeframes.
- Assist stakeholders with writing scope requirements/specifications.
- Assist the business in undertaking both high value, complex and non-complex procurement activities.
- Guide and assist evaluation teams/panels throughout the offer assessment and contract negotiation processes in accordance with departmental policies.
- Finalise evaluation reports and manage contract executions.
- Records management using SharePoint and Share drive.
- Liaise with Department’s shared service provider, QSS, to resolve purchase order and vendor discrepancies.
- Prepare purchase requisitions and amendments for processing by QSS.
- Liaise with the Department Finance and Budgeting teams for ad-hoc day to day procurement questions that may arise.
Highly Desirable skills and knowledge:
- High level of communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience in the use of SAP financial system.
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience in the application of the Queensland Procurement Policy and all related policies and procedures.
- High level of experience in ICT Procurement.
- Experience in using Queensland Government QITC suite of templates.
- Experience in developing Queensland Government contracts and tenders, including associated documentation.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of SharePoint Online.
- Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
- Experience in undertaking ICT procurement activities.
- Organisational and time management skills.
