About the Opportunity
A 12-month contract opportunity exists for an experienced ICT Project Manager at ARTC to undertake the planning, organisation, control, and coordination of quality-oriented ICT projects. Manage the day-to-day operations of resourcing, scheduling, task coordination and prioritisation, ensuring project milestones, objectives and deliverables are met within agreed timeframes, scope, budgets, and quality expectations.

- Engage with stakeholders for the scoping, documenting, reporting and managing technology projects.
- Create and maintain appropriate project documentation to support the successful delivery of project objectives.
- Produce project status reports in accordance with Systems & Technology project reporting requirements, including key indicators of schedule, budget, issues, and project risks.
- Manage risks, actions, issues, and decisions (RAID) for ICT projects. Assess, manage, and resolve all high priority project issues and risks as they are encountered.
- Working closely with project team members and resource owners to ensure personnel are available to complete project tasks.
- Define, record, and track detailed work breakdown of tasks required to deliver projects.
- Partner with business sponsors to define success metrics.
- Regularly communicate with key stakeholders and project delivery teams to ensure project outcomes are met.
- Manage relationships with ICT partners and vendors supporting the delivery of technology projects.
- Ensuring compliance with and alignment to Systems and Technology defined processes for ICT project management, including but not limited to change control, configuration management and cyber security.
About You
To ensure success in this position, applicants will be able to demonstrate:
Essential Selection Criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in a technology focussed discipline.
- Minimum 5 years demonstrated project management experience within an ICT environment within large and complex corporate enterprises.
- Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2), with a strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Scrum) and best practices.
- Proven track record in successful leadership of complex ICT projects and programs.
- Ability to be broadly focused and manage multiple efforts concurrently.
- Demonstrated high level of capability in risk and stakeholder management, and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationship where competing agendas and priorities exist.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organisation; including staff, business stakeholders, and all levels of management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including with Executive audiences. Ability to write quality project documentation.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as ServiceNow and Microsoft Project.
Desirable Selection Criteria:
- Rail industry experience.
- Demonstrated conflict resolution, negotiating, and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated Strong leadership capabilities.
- Experience and understanding of ITIL Service Delivery methodology and ITIL framework.
