About you:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as an ICT Project Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and drive the successful delivery of our City of Ballarat’s Portfolio of ICT Projects.
The role:
As the ICT Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating, and executing a range of technology projects that align with the City of Ballarat's strategic goals. Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and other project planning materials using a project management framework such as Prince 2, Agile, or PMI.
- Identify potential project risks and develop effective risk mitigation and optimization strategies, including developing proactive risk monitoring and tracking.
- Provide effective and timely advice to stakeholders in relation to the delivery of technology projects and business improvement initiatives to realise intended business benefits
- Maintain up to date knowledge of emerging technologies in line with practice and Council direction and understand the capacity of these technologies to meet emerging challenges and opportunities.
- Facilitate the solution procurement and the selection process and manage Expression of Interest and/or Tender negotiations with commercial vendors.
- Prepare timely and accurate briefings, reports, submissions, presentations, and other documentation of a detailed and strategic nature related to project initiatives.
