Currently we are seeking a skilled legal professional who is looking for a challenging and rewarding role in the development and construction industry.

What will you be involved in?
As Legal Counsel at Landmark, you'll be responsible for:

  • Managing external legal; firms contracted to Landmark Group for various matters.
  • Providing comprehensive legal support across various aspects of our business operations. This includes ensuring legal compliance, mitigating risks, and offering strategic guidance to our management team.
  • Provide legal advice and support to the CEO and senior managers on legal and governance matters.
  • Review and assess contracts, leasing documents, and other legal documents.
  • Represent Landmark in legal proceedings and mediations, in conjunction with external legal counsel.
  • Increase knowledge and awareness of legal matters within Landmark.
  • Ensure company activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Identify potential legal risks and provide proactive solutions.
  • Handle disputes, claims, and litigation matters.
  • Advise on corporate governance matters.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Conduct legal research and provide legal opinions and analysis.
  • Provide legal training and guidance to company employees.
  • Develop and implement company policies and procedures for legal compliance.
  • Minimise legal costs with our external partnership law firms.
What will you need to succeed?
  • Tertiary legal qualification and holding or eligible to hold a current practicing certificate as an Australian lawyer.
  • Ideally a minimum of 8+ years PQE
  • Significant experience in Corporate/Commercial law, particularly in drafting contracts.
  • Strong attention to detail, proactive, and initiative driven.
  • Outcome/results-focused with a high level of strategic thinking.
  • Highly organised and analytical.
  • Effective negotiator with a high level of confidentiality, discretion, and judgment.
  • Professional conduct and demeanour with a strong work ethic.
  • Team player, collaborative, open, honest, and with integrity.
  • Excellent communication skills.
