13th February, 2024 We are proud to be supporting our client who is seeking an Indigenous Engagement Specialist to spearhead their commitment to cultural diversity and community empowerment across their operations in Australia. The business supports over 10,000 employees nationally and is located in capital cities and regional locations. THE ROLE Cultivate and nurture respectful relationships with Indigenous community members and organisations to drive positive outcomes. Coordinate and administer a national Indigenous engagement program to enhance employee retention and promote cultural diversity. Collaborate with national & regional site leaders and internal teams to develop and deliver programs that empower Indigenous job-seekers and employees. Support Indigenous and Community programs that offer economic opportunities to Traditional Owners. Ensure timely reporting on sustainability, Indigenous engagement, and program administration. Provide advisory and coordination support for internal events like NAIDOC and RAP, delivering cultural educational programs and communications. Foster positive relationships with national and regional support services and organisations to enhance Indigenous employee retention outcomes. Representation at community meetings and events associated with Aboriginal Engagement, promoting positive engagement between stakeholders. Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with safe-working processes and procedures.
