Peritus Recruitment is pleased to partner with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists for the purposes of recruiting an Indigenous Trainee Liaison Officer. The successful Indigenous Trainee Liaison Officer (ITLO) will commence at 0.6 FTE in 2024 and increase to 0.8 FTE in 2025.The Position
Reporting to the Specialty Training Unit General Manager, the ITLO will serve to provide support, policy advice and assist Indigenous trainees in line with the College’s Indigenous Action Plan. This newly created position will see the ITLO be responsible for engaging with key Indigenous organisations which will support the College’s intention of increasing the number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander trainees.
The ITLO is also responsible for engaging with key Indigenous organisations so as the College can to build the number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander trainee engagement and satisfaction, and to address issues which may affect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander trainees and their training sites.
About You
You’re a professional with expertise in either psychology, counselling, social work, nursing, or a related discipline who has strong communication skills with an innate capacity to organise, mentor and uplift others. The successful ITLO will have demonstrable experience working with committees and/or member-based organisations as well having expertise in program development and management.
If you’ve had experience working in a not-for-profit organisation, in healthcare or with Indigenous student administration or customer liaison landscapes, this role may be for you.
It’s an exciting time to join RANZCR as you’ll directly help shape the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander strategic framework and the plans for continued reconciliation. The ITLO will also contribute to designing new ways of working within the team as they adapt to meet the needs of the organisation and the Community.
