At Melbourne Indoor Plants our purpose is simple; plants make people happy and we deliver on that with bigger, better and cheaper Indoor Plants that are lovingly tendered by us from seed to sale. We currently have four retail warehouse locations in South Melbourne, Ringwood, Preston & Oakleigh. And ideally seek a candidate to work at Preston/Ringwood.
Due to overwhelming recent growth, we are expanding our team and looking for superstar Sales Assistants to join our Team in a Part Time / Casual capacity for our Ringwood, Oakleigh and South Melbourne Warehouses.
Duties include selling, restocking and merchandising. The goal is to provide high class customer service and to increase company’s growth and revenue through sales maximisation at every opportunity.
Our ideal candidates will be those with a can-do, positive attitude that foster a culture of high-performance and unrivalled excellence in customer service and sales. Knowledge of Indoor Plant horticulture is looked upon favourably however previous experience working in a fast paced retail position is mandatory.
- Welcome and greet customers
- Ability to work on weekends (at least 1 day) a must!
- Ascertain customers’ needs and wants
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
- Manage point-of-sale processes
- Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
- Assist with the sales process by maintaining a fully stocked store
- Enthusiasm and passion for horticulture
- Accurately describe product features and benefits
- Recommend and display plants that match customer needs
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
- Enjoy a physical work environment (some lifting required)
