What you will be doing !
You will play a pivotal role in driving sales, guaranteeing operational effectiveness, and nurturing a culture of exceptional performance within the designated region. Your responsibilities encompass serving as a brand representative, embodying the brand's core values, and consistently providing an exceptional in-store experience to every customer. As a frontrunner, you will provide guidance, inspiration, and direction to teams, fostering high engagement, optimising sales, and upholding cost-effectiveness and efficiency standards.
Your key accountability areas
Operational Excellence
- Visit all stores in your region regularly; review sales, KPIs, store standards and opportunities, ensuring productive feedback is provided.
- Ensure efficient operation of your stores to achieve optimal results in sales targets, KPI’s, store presentation, visual merchandising, stock levels, wage control and shrinkage
- Oversee accurate implementation of national promotions, always maintaining high Visual Merchandising (VM) to brand guidelines.
- Build relationships across regions to share best practice in execution.
Risk and Compliance
- Optimise-based rostering in line with the General Retail Award
- Banking in line with company banking procedures
- Visual merchandising standards in line with brand guidelines
- Zoning, re-pricing, stock control processes
- Shrinkage action plans
- Inventory control best practise
- Oversee stocktakes
Customer Satisfaction
- Champion a customer-centric approach, ensuring that every customer receives exceptional service.
- Promptly address customer feedback and concerns, seeking innovative ways to enhance the overall shopping experience.
- Create and build a customer-obsessed culture within your team, and address areas of concerns.
Recruitment and Induction
- Hire top talent. Take ownership of recruiting, onboarding, training and developing top talent.
- Conduct group recruitment and assessment centres as required.
- Deliver an established people succession plan across all stores.
Training and Development:
- Own the training and induction of all Store Management roles for your region.
- Identify training needs and provide coaching and development opportunities for store teams.
- Plan and execute training programs to enhance employee skills, product knowledge, and customer service.
Budget Management:
- Manage all stores' controllable expenses in line with budgets assigned in the P&L to achieve profit budgets.
- Proactively address budget variances and financial performance to ensure alignment with goals.
- Oversee Manage wage budgets, ensuring compliance to set targets.
Reporting and Analytics:
- Generate and analyse reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), translating data insights into actionable strategies.
- Regularly present updates, recommendations, and performance insights to senior management.
Who are you?
- 5+ years’ experience in a Regional, State or National multi-site role. Preferable in a retail environment
- Exceptional ability to lead a team.
- Strong knowledge of the Retail Award and performance management processes.
- Proven ability to drive sales and build high performing teams.
- Previous experience in wage management and rostering.
- Strong knowledge of visual merchandising principals.
- Highly motivating and influential.
- High achiever who is driven to succeed.
