- Oral Health Therapy at the University of Newcastle
The School of Health Sciences, one of four Schools within the College of Health, Medicine and Wellbeing, excels in the teaching of allied health professionals and includes the disciplines of Physiotherapy, Medical Radiation Sciences (Diagnostic Radiography, Nuclear Medicine, and Radiation Therapy), Nutrition and Dietetics, Workplace Health and Safety, Occupational Therapy, Oral Health Therapy, Podiatry, and Speech Pathology. The disciplines within the School achieve a balance between advancing the professional research profile of their respective areas and working together to educate future healthcare workers in a multi-professional healthcare environment.
The School enjoys a close collaboration with local health districts in providing clinical learning experiences for students, and in the conduct of research. We strive to prepare and develop students across the Health Science disciplines to function in a wide range of clinical settings, health facilities and services.
Our academics are committed to teaching and learning strategies which develop and enhance knowledge, and the full range of clinical and interpersonal skills needed by dental professionals to function as effective practitioners.

Be challenged and imagine with us
As an Industry and Clinical Educator (ICE) in Oral Health you will provide high-quality clinical education in Oral Health Therapy, within the School of Health Sciences.
Building on a background of contemporary clinical experience and expertise within discipline, with an understanding of professional and educational issues, the ICE role is required to develop, teach and coordinate courses aligned to the strategic goals of both the College and the School. You will also coordinate and manage high-quality professional practice education and contribute to the day-to-day clinical and simulation teaching of Oral Health students in Ourimbah or placement sites.

How you will inspire us
You will:
- hold unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Dental practitioner (Oral Heath Therapy or Dentist);
- have a strong contemporary background of clinical experience;
