Job description:
To advance and develop Tasmanian screen industry practitioners’ skills and expertise, thereby growing industry capacity. This is achieved through management of Screen Tasmania’s Industry Development, providing production liaison services including location, crew, trainee attachment and employment opportunities and protocol advice to the screen industry, and through liaising with interstate and international partners.

Duties
Responsible for managing Screen Tasmania’s professional and Industry Development programs to develop Tasmania’s technical and business skills within the screen industry, covering both linear screen production (film, TV and online) and video game development.
Facilitate local and interstate productions including providing advice and information regarding locations, crews and equipment, and production liaison services, with a focus on maximising employment and skills development opportunities for Tasmanians.
Manage Screen Tasmania’s online tools including locations, crew and equipment/facilities directory, and its online application portal, ensuring information is accurate and accessible to industry stakeholders.
Represent Screen Tasmania on relevant state and national committees covering issues such as skills development, production attraction and promotion of diversity within the screen industry, and environmental sustainability in screen production.
Lead Screen Tasmania’s engagement with the community, including Local Government and location owners to encourage close collaboration between industry and the general public, and to drive the appropriate treatment of locations and efficient administration.
Supervise the Industry Officer, particularly providing support in engagement with industry members.
Desirable Requirements
High familiarity with software packages including MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite
Current driver’s licence.
