Amentum has an exciting opportunity for a Industry Engagement Specialistto join their team in Alice Springs, NT - Australia.

THE ROLE

The Industry Engagement Specialist plays a crucial role in fostering connections between our organization and external industry stakeholders. This position is instrumental in developing and maintaining relationships with key players in various sectors to enhance collaboration, drive innovation, and support mutual growth opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, business acumen, and a strategic mindset to effectively engage with industry partners and promote our organization's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to engage with industry stakeholders, including businesses, associations, government agencies, and research institutions.
  • Aid in the creation and development of go-to-market tools for Industry Engagement
  • Identify and prioritize key industry sectors aligned with our organization's goals and objectives.
  • Initiate and maintain relationships with industry leaders, decision-makers, and influencers to explore partnership opportunities and collaboration.
  • Serve as a liaison between our organization and external stakeholders, facilitating communication and fostering mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Coordinate events both internal and external, including conferences, seminars, employee engagement events and networking sessions, to promote our organization's brand and offerings.
  • Manage all aspects of event planning and execution, including venue selection, agenda development, speaker coordination, logistics, and budget management, including post-event evaluations.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes to anticipate opportunities and challenges.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and proposals, to align Industry Engagement activities with overall business objectives.
  • Gather feedback from industry partners to inform product/service enhancements and strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials in support of internal and external groups to communicate industry  and customer engagement activities and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of Industry Engagement strategies and initiatives, making recommendations for improvement as needed.

Qualifications

  • Qualifications in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Industry Engagement, business development, or strategic partnership management.
  • Strong understanding of industry dynamics, market trends, and competitive landscapes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and pursue opportunities for collaboration and growth.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and software.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Minimum Essential

  • The position is desk based and sedentary in nature, the ability to lift items up to 5kgs may be required occasionally.

STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Able to fluently read, write and speak English
  • Australian or US citizen

EHS REQUIREMENT

All Amentum personnel are responsible for understanding and complying with all site environmental, health and safety requirements. While Amentum is responsible for providing a safe workplace and is responsible for ensuring compliance with requirements of the Handbook, each person is responsible for:

  • Completing work tasks in a safe manner
