An exciting opportunity exist for experienced Information Release candidates with strong stakeholder engagement experience to join our team!
The core capability requirements for this role are:
• Process information applications from Victim Assist Queensland.
• Research legal and policy issues associated with the Victims of Crime Assistance Act 2009, impacting upon the operations of the Queensland Police Service.
• Provide timely advice to senior management with respect to Victim Assist Queensland issues concerning access and amendment to documents, the application of the exemption provisions and public interest factors.
• Negotiate and consult with clients, agents and other stakeholders.
• Conduct third party consultations and consultations on behalf of other Queensland Government agencies, in respect of Victim Assist Queensland applications as required.
• Respond to requests for documents and submissions from the Office of the Information Commissioner, in relation to applications for external review.
