Information Technology Support Officer
 

Role Title: Information Technology Support Officer
Team: Support Team
Location: Based in Woolloongabba. On-site only and work from home not available. Travel other office locations across Greater Brisbane may be required.
Level: Level 5.1 Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award$93,865.7, pro-rata, (depending on experience), plus leave loading and an option to salary sacrifice.
Reports to: Senior Leader – People and Systems
Contract: Full Time - Fixed Term – 76 hours per fortnight for 12 months (pending successful probation)

Role Purpose
The dual purpose of this role is to provide technical support to QPASTT staff through the management of an internal IT help desk and to support the implementation of Microsoft 365 across the organisation. This support will include the development of user-friendly training resources, provision of training and end user assistance with the implementation of the Microsoft 365 suite including OneDrive and Teams sites.
This position will work as part of the QPASTT Support Team which manages several functions comprising human resources, facilities, Information Technology and administration support.

Responsibilities 

  • Serve as the first contact with QPASTT staff who need technical assistance via the phone or email or in person
  • Respond in a timely manner to Information Technology issues and requests
  • Perform troubleshooting using different diagnostic techniques
  • Provide remote and in-person IT support to users.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical hardware and/or software issues
  • Provide quick resolution and excellent customer service
  • Redirect unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
  • Design course materials and documents such as handouts, manuals and exercises
  • prepare the learning environment and resources, including setting up IT equipment where appropriate
  • Deliver training programmes in person or online
     

Requirements

  1. Prior experience in responding to user issues with Information Technology in a work environment
  2. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with ability to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders
  3. Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work cross-culturally and as part of a team
  4. High level of functional knowledge and experience in using Microsoft programs, particularly SharePoint
  5. High level of organisational skills – planning, coordinating, priority setting and task management
  6. The ability to work autonomously as well as under direction, using initiative and problem solving skills
  7. Desirable –qualification in Information Technology
     

Conditions of Employment

  1. Current Positive Notice Blue Card and provision of an annual federal police check.
  2. Current Queensland C Class driver’s licence.
  3. Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination or an exemption certificate from Queensland Health authorised personnel.
  4. Occasional travel to other QPASTT offices.
