Job Description:
We are seeking a talented Reception Practice Assistant who is an out-of-the-box problem solver with a strong understanding of the functionality and operations within a Physiotherapy practice. This role has a strong focus on hands-on treatment, exercise prescription and ongoing education. Our clients come from a diverse background including Musculoskeletal, Orthopaedic, Sports, Breathing difficulties specialist referrals to our disability NDIS community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist clients in a professional and friendly manner.
- Manage appointment bookings, cancellations, and rescheduling.
- Handle telephone and email inquiries with excellent communication skills.
- Process payments through HICAPS and Private Health Fund systems.
- Maintain patient records using medical software systems (PPMP advantageous).
- Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and document preparation.
- Provide support to physiotherapists and other healthcare staff as needed.
- Adhere to confidentiality and data protection policies.
Set Hours: To start 29th May
- Wednesday: 1.30pm - 6.30pm
- Thursday: 1.30pm - 6.30pm
- Friday: 8am - 4pm
- Saturday: Option Available from July, 8am - 1pm
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in allied health practice operations.
- Proficiency with medical software systems, particularly PPMP, is advantageous.
- Experience with HICAPS and Medicare/DVA electronic systems.
- Knowledge of Private Health Fund systems.
- Competency in Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong work ethic and a professional, punctual, and trustworthy demeanor.
- Exceptional reception and telephone skills with a caring, positive nature.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changes.
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
