Infrastructure Engineer - Vmware | Dell | Windows Servers

The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for the implementation of Hyper Converged Infrastructure including VMware and Dell products.

• 6 Months Contract (with the view to extend)

• AGSVA NV2 Clearance is required

A leading technology company is currently seeking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer who will play a key role in developing, building, configuring, and documenting key components of the stand-alone network. This involves contributing to the implementation of Hyper Converged Infrastructure components in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Operation, support, and development of the stand-alone network.
• Patching and Maintenance of VMware and Dell products.
• Build and configuration activities.
• Assisting the Infrastructure Lead on builds (utilising existing Build Instructions).
• Development of Build Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Performing complex troubleshooting of VMware and Dell products.
• Maintain security awareness and implement security best practices.
• Conducting work in accordance with the Project Agile Methodology, including maintaining JIRA and participating in stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Key Requirements:

• VMWare – Cloud Foundation Products (VCF 4.x).
• Strong working knowledge of VMware stack, including vSphere, ESXi, and vSAN.
• VMware Aria Suite.
• VMware NSX.
• Support and maintenance of Dell hardware.
• Scripting including PowerCLI and PowerShell.
• Veeam Backup.
• Experience working with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
• Windows Server 2016/2019.
• Certificate Services.
• Splunk.
• Firewall rulesets.
• Subnets and VLANs.
• VCP Data Center Virtualisation.
• Experience in developing Build Instructions (BIs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Contract Rate: $125 per Hour (incl. super)
