An exciting opportunity has become available in our Waste and Infrastructure Maintenance team for a Technical Officer Infrastructure on a Full Time, Permanent basis.
In this role, the successful applicant will work to provide specialised asset management services and technical support to facilitate effective management of relevant City assets.
Your responsibilities will include:
Infrastructure Asset Management/Maintenance
Provide regular asset data and condition ratings and reports of all Infrastructure assets, in line with the City’s asset management framework and asset renewal programs.
Plan, prioritise and conduct the annual maintenance audit schedule of the City’s Roads, laneways footpaths etc.
Maintain the City’s asset and maintenance management system.
Contractor Management
Participate in the development, preparation and issuing of tender specifications and documentation and the assessment of tender submissions.
Supervise and monitor allocated infrastructure management contracts (including street light maintenance and graffiti removal) in accordance with contract specifications, industry and community standards, and budget.
Stakeholder Management and Customer Experience
Provide specialist advice to all relevant branches to ensure compliance with the bond collection and reconciliation process.
Provide a confidential and high-quality customer experience when liaising with members of the public.
Other
Assist the Coordinator Waste and Infrastructure Maintenance in the development and review of relevant policies, management guidelines and procedures.
Assist the Coordinator Waste and Infrastructure Maintenance with the preparation of annual and project budgets.
Develop, implement, monitor, and report against required Key Performance Indicators.
To be successful in this role you will have:

Sound budgeting and procurement skills.
Demonstrated ability to establish, develop and maintain new systems, strategies, and procedures.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in contract management and supervision.
Sound working knowledge of computer-based information systems, including Asset Management and Geographic Information Systems (e.g., RAMM or similar)
Demonstrated practical experience in asset maintenance and management activities
Relevant qualification in asset / infrastructure maintenance and or relevant work experience.
Current “C’ class driver’s license.

Salary range: $84,000 - $90, 960 p.a + 11% employer superannuation plus an additional co-contribution.
