Cyber & Infrastructure Security | Cyber & Infra Security Centre | Regulatory Compliance | Critical Infrastructure Program for Modelling and Analysis - CIPMA
The Critical Infrastructure Program for Modelling and Analysis (CIPMA) Section is responsible for:
Providing specialist technical analysis and evidence-based reporting on critical infrastructure interdependencies; designing and developing the analytical frameworks and in-house tool suite to enhance the Division's risk assessment work; and providing technical analysis of ownership and operational information of Critical Infrastructure.
Our ideal candidate
A strong enthusiasm for contributing to a detailed understanding of the Critical Infrastructure sectors, complex supply chain independencies, and surrounding influence vectors
Experience with applying scientific applications (such as MATLAB or Python), geospatial software (such as ArcGIS), and visualisation or business intelligence software (such as Tableau), in concert with research and analysis. Coding experience is desirable but not essential
Is highly motivated and shows initiative to work effectively and independently while prioritising their contribution to team projects
Ability to apply scientific approaches such as rigour and collaboration in solving complex, novel, open-ended problems in a rapidly evolving environment.
Duties and responsibilities
Provide technical expertise to support the work of the CISC
Engage independently with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including intelligence analysts, data scientists, academia, industry, Government and international partners
Strive to prepare and present complex information in an innovative clear and concise manner whether written analysis work or data dashboards and visualisations
Prepare, manage and carry out the technical analysis of critical infrastructure assets, owners, operators and essential services and their interactions
Develop, support and maintain critical infrastructure modelling of real world systems, including querying techniques of its representative data.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 (AGSVA) security clearance and an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
