Innovation Technologist

We have an opportunity based at our Pakenham site for an experienced Innovation Technologist! You will be a crucial team member within the Innovation Team; ensuring our production and manufacturing can efficiently run to meet production outcomes. 
 
Reporting to the Innovation Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and presenting concept products and samples both internally and to customers;
• Contributing to, and participating in, the development of bespoke new concepts and innovation for future development;
• Working cross functionally across technical, marketing and commercial functions to agree on key areas of focus for the innovation pipeline and to identify new opportunities, concepts and ranges;
• Reacting to the changes in consumer and market trends in order to continue to create exciting category solutions and range extensions;
• Working with key suppliers to understand areas of innovation and to develop new product concepts in our focus areas;
• Lead and deliver end-to-end product development across multiple categories from an innovation perspective;
• Working with process engineers, plant operators, ingredient suppliers, and packaging and marketing specialists to deliver the product development project.
• Working with Procurement and Planning to aid with ingredient substitutions.

 
Your Skills

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an Innovation Technologist Role.
• Demonstrated sound food technology experience, with showed usage and understanding of Stage and Gate.
• Experience in chilled pasta development. (mandatory) 
• Knowledge in QAS development and specifications.
• An understanding of labelling and ingredient declarations.
• Strong planning and time management.
• Experience in Hamilton Grant Recipe Management Software (preferable).
• Excellent communication skills.
