Inpatient Billing Officers to join their
Inpatient Billing Team based at Mater's purpose-built corporate office in NewsteadThere are two positions on offer:

As an
Inpatient Billing Officer, you will process patient accounts and payments efficiently and effectively to ensure optimal revenue generationSalary range: $43.31 - $47.71 (MCAS4) per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900
What you'll be doing- Accurate billing of patients, health funds and other third-party insurers according to relevant Health Fund Contracts to ensure maximum revenue is obtained.
- Process accounts and assist with the resolution of account queries for patients and Health Funds.
- Manage eclipse rejections and billing errors.
- Manage requests and follow up of certification and other documentation required for health fund billing.
- Follow up of outstanding debt.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external clients at all times.
About youTo be successful in your application, you will have:
- Previous experience of working in a health-related environment, particularly in the area of health fund contracts, debt collection or patient billing.
- Knowledge of or the ability to acquire knowledge of the terms and conditions of health fund contracts
- Excellent telephone and face-to-face communication skills
- Ability to have complex financial conversations with patients in a sensitive manner
- Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and also work unsupervised
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
