About the role:

The Billing and Claims Officer is responsible for ensuring all NDIS Billing, Disability Employment Services Claims and Wage Subsidies comply with the appropriate Contractual Guidelines and Price Guides

More specifically you will:

  • Ensure all Billing and Claims are processed in a timely manner to meet the needs and requirements of Contractual Guidelines and NDIS Price Guides.
  • Provide expert advice and support within the DES contract to achieve sustainable outcomes through providing support services to frontline operations
  • Manage NDIS billing for HELP services provided to customers
  • Maximise business outcomes and returns by liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Have a hands-on approach to seek, support and deliver on available outcome opportunities
  • Utilises all tools available to guide and support designated zones to maximise claim opportunities
  • Ensure currency of knowledge in regards to contractual requirements in relation to this position, this includes Employment Contractual Guidelines and NDIS Price Guides
  • Ensure all month end and milestone deadlines are met, as advised by Management and Government Departments
  • Process transactions for Employment and Disability claims functions, ensuring all claims meet compliance standards and business timelines
  • Ensure all internal processes are followed with regards to Billing, Claims and Wage Subsidies
  • Always act in the best interest of our customers, HELP Enterprises and relevant Government Departments.
  • Ensure all relevant contractual documentary evidence and guideline requirements are met for all Billing and Claims lodged, relevant to the appropriate Department Guidelines or NDIS Price Guide.
  • Comply with HELP’s Code of Conduct and all policies, procedures, standards and guidelines
  • Other duties as required to meet operational needs, as requested by management.

What you need to be successful:

To excel as a Billing and Claims Officer, applicants must possess a keen eye for detail, exceptional organisational skills. As well as the ability to interpret complex contractual requirements, policies and operational guidelines and apply compliance standards. Successful candidates will demonstrate following traits:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Employment Services Claiming or NDIS Billing function
  • Ability to apply effective and highly developed administrative and analytical skills against relevant Contractual Guidelines and Price Guides
  • Ability to adapt to new tasks swiftly, and support with all areas of the Billing and Claims function
  • Ability to communicate professionally, verbally and in writing with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Ability to apply critical analysis and problem-solving skills in order to process Billing and Claims and maximise returns
  • Demonstrated understanding of Outcome and Wage Subsidy requirements and obligations gained in the not-for-profit sector – highly desirable
  • Demonstrated understanding of NDIS Billing requirements and obligations gained in the not-for profit sector – highly desirable
  • Highly organised and the ability to understand and manage a complex administration workload
  • Knowledge of the National Standards for Disability Services and other applicable standards
  • Demonstrated experience with outcome claims requirements and compliance
