The RoleWe have an exciting opportunity to join our growing team in the Capital Program Management Office (CPMO) of Melbourne Water.
The Capital Program Management Office (CPMO) supports the management, delivery and governance of Melbourne Water’s significant infrastructure project investment program. This role in the CPMO is focussed on our Waterways and Drainage services, which contribute to greater Melbourne’s liveability. This role supports our services by:
Driving prudent and efficient capital project development and delivery through monthly reporting.
Communicating insights and aligning teams to our common organisational and infrastructure program objectives.
Driving improved capture of data and information to support insights based decision making.
Facilitating creation of long term infrastructure investment plans.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Program Reporting & Insights, the Insights Analyst - Waterways role will develop, implement and improve processes, systems and reporting required to ensure that Melbourne Water’s capital investment portfolio is effectively governed, managed and delivered in a manner that ensures prudent and efficient investment, and delivery of intended benefits.
This will be achieved through:
Delivering service-based inputs to capital reporting (e.g. Monthly Board, Sub Committee and Management Reports as required).
Identifying and developing reporting improvements that deliver insights to improve decision making.
Supporting relevant product/service capital governance meetings.
Developing a ‘birds eye view’ of the programs Melbourne Water manages to deliver improved waterways, drainage and flood mitigation outcomes.
Your Skills and Experience
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across the business to support Waterways service capital program objectives.
Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to produce reports (Business Intelligence (BI) reporting using tools such as Power BI highly desirable).
Ability to deliver insights findings in an engaging manner through the use of storytelling and visualisations.
Experience in delivering outcomes in complex environments with multiple stakeholders with varying levels of savviness with insights.
Experience working within the Infrastructure/ Engineering space is desirable but not required.
