Kennedy Ryan Advisory is a new insolvency practice backed by more than 25 years of corporate insolvency experience, specialising in all formal and informal corporate insolvency appointments. We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Accountant/ Analyst to join our team and hit the ground running.
You will be an integral member of our team reporting directly to your Senior Manager and/ or the Managing Principal with hands on management of corporate files including Voluntary Administrations (including trade-ons), DOCAs, Creditors Voluntary Liquidations, Court Liquidations and Members Voluntary Liquidations.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled, competent insolvency Accountant to join a dynamic and growing practice. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years experience in insolvency, exceptional attention to detail, with strong problem solving and analytical skills, and be enthusiastic about continuing their career in the insolvency industry. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
We will support additional study and ongoing career progression. We also understand that the corporate world has changed in recent years and we have implemented effective resources and tools allowing our staff to take advantage of flexible working arrangements including the ability to work from home/ work remotely 1 day per week.
Your day-to-day role will include:
- Ongoing management of insolvency appointments.
- Preparation of correspondence and reports to creditors.
- Conducting investigations and preparing statutory investigation reports including identifying and reporting on contraventions.
- Pursuing recoveries.
- Assisting in preparation of budgets and cashflow forecasts for trade-on appointments.
- Maintaining and attending to accurate statutory reporting requirements.
- Ensuring files and working papers are accurate and maintained appropriately.
- Building and developing relationships with clients and referrers.
Skills and experience:
- Experience in a similar role of 2 to 4 years.
- Degree qualified in relevant area.
- Completed or intend to complete CA and/ or CPA.
- Desire to undertake ARITA courses.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong problem solving and financial analysis skills.
- A willingness and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Experience using insolvency and accounting software including Core IPS/ Turnkey, Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks is advantageous.
