Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with demonstrated proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis.
- Experience in a school or educational institution preferred, with knowledge of relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Your responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting principles.
- Budget Management: Assist in the development of annual budgets, monitor budgetary performance throughout the financial year, and provide analysis and recommendations to ensure financial sustainability and alignment with organizational goals.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, billing, and collections, to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain the general ledger system, reconcile accounts, and ensure proper classification of expenses and revenues, adhering to accounting standards and internal controls.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to support decision-making processes, identify trends, and provide insights into financial performance and opportunities for improvement.
- Compliance and Audit: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, tax laws, and internal policies, and coordinate external audits as necessary. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
- Payroll Processing: Oversee payroll processing, including calculation of salaries, deductions, and benefits, and ensure accurate and timely disbursement of payroll to employees.
- Financial Systems Management: Manage financial software systems and tools, including implementation, upgrades, and maintenance, to support efficient and effective financial operations.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment focused on professional development and growth.
