About the role
CBUS has an exciting opportunity for an Insurance Specialist, Compliance. You will be primarily responsible for the maintenance of insurance controls and reporting on this through Archer (Cbus’s Governance, Risk & Compliance tool). The role supports the broader insurance operations team in first line defence responsibilities. A component of the role will also include providing training and upskilling of the Insurance team on their key compliance obligations, as well as helping to implement and embed the 3 lines of defence model across the Fund.
Key responsibilities also include providing compliance advice on insurance related projects/initiatives and in relevant compliance and risk forums, management of insurance incidents and ad hoc compliance-related inquiries that arise as part of business-as-usual activities.
About you
- Experience in insurance in superannuation and understanding of operational processes in underwriting and/or claims, highly regarded.
- Experience in incident management including root cause analysis and remediation.
- Experience in operating within the 3 Lines Model that include third-party providers, would be advantageous.
- Experience with compliance management (Line 1 or Line 2) in financial services, ideally superannuation, (including understanding of SIS Act, Corporations Act, Insurance regulation, taxation etc.) delivering a range of compliance programs highly regarded.
- A good understanding of the prudential standards and regulatory landscape impacting insurance in Superannuation.
- Tertiary qualifications in a related subject area (such as law, commerce, economics, accounting, etc.) would be highly regarded.
- RG146 qualification in superannuation
