Position Overview
The Intake and Administration Officer will support Nulsen Disability Services with the onboarding of new residents including initial contact, transition planning and development of service agreements.
The position works closely with our Participant Engagement Coordinators and involves problem solving, client Intake and administrative functions. We are looking for someone who embodies the Nulsen values and is passionate about supporting people to live their best lives.
Responsibilities:
- First point of contact for Nulsen enquiries, including provision of information regarding Nulsen services and referral to appropriate service streams.
- Engaging with current and prospective clients to assist with determining compatibility and ensure suitability for Nulsen Supported Independent Living (SIL) services.
- Together with management, plan and prepare for residents transitioning into SIL vacancies across SDA and non-SDA accommodation.
- Development and modification of service agreements using Lumary software, in consultation with the Participant Engagement team.
- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders and ensures all verbal and written communication is delivered in a timely and professional manner.
- Works collaboratively within a team environment and adds to a positive team culture.
- Strong knowledge of the rights of people with disabilities; the concepts of social role valorisation, inclusions and quality of life; and National Standards for Disability Services.
- A willingness to work outside of office hours as required.
What you need:
- Knowledge of the NDIS, Supported Independent Living and Specialist Disability Accommodation desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop meaningful connections with participants and their families.
- Developed problem-solving skills and the ability to towards set tasks.
- Strong administrative and computer skills, including experience working with client and data management systems.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, Lumary, TRIM and/or PRODA would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Other employment requirements:
- Must hold Australian citizenship or be a permanent resident of Australia.
- Proficient in the use of technology including email, the internet and Microsoft Office.
- Current Australian driver’s licence.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Working with Children Check
