As the first entry point in to the organisation, this is a pivotal role to conduct initial assessments, and risk assessment of clients seeking AOD treatment services in the community, withdrawal or residential environments. This role is designed as a Level 5 SCHADs to provide a high degree of rigour and clinical expertise to the management of new clients, and ongoing support through the waitlist timeframes.
The ideal candidate will present with a Tertiary Qualification and 3-5 years experience working in AOD services either in Intake, as a Case Worker or Counsellor. We are seeking expressions of interest from candidates who present with the following:
- A Bachelor Qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Youth Work or related discipline
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a client centred approach
- Well developed understanding of harm minimalisation and other clinical frameworks employed in AOD/MH services
- Sound judgement, clinical assessment, and case management skills
- Well developed organisational skills and IT skills
- A flexible and adaptable approach.
