Working at Northline

Join a great team as Integration Specialist using our software tools and processes to build new integrations and support existing ones with our customers and suppliers. Each Integration will vary, and can include email translation, EDI or API. The role also includes support for our customers and supplier portals.  You will also manage and develop documentation to enable new and existing customers to develop integrations to Northline.

Some of the challenges you will be faced with on a day-to day basis:

  • Support and correct EDI files which are not successfully imported into the Northline system.
  • Troubleshoot system errors for root cause and communicate with customer/Account Manages to get resolution.
  • Support the implementation of New and Existing Customers including the integration setup and testing.
  • In conjunction with team members, draft, design and test templates for transactions inbound and outbound from Northline’s systems.
  • Customer Support - act as the main contact between your internal team, Northline Sales staff and external customers whilst in the implementation phase
  • Audit the listing of accounts that need to be transitioned to an integration method or Customer Portal (including Webstore) Support Webstore – including adding of new customers, Training as directed, and Administration.
  • In conjunction with your manager, support new system integrations with customers and suppliers from Project scope through testing and finally successful implementation.
  • Author and maintain technical specifications, and develop technical designs, and implement integrations using standard Northline integration tools based on functional specifications and system requirements.

  • Ability to learn and become proficient in new software modules, processes, procedures and techniques.
  • Highly organised, structured approach to tasks, target oriented, and outcome focused.
  • Integrity, trustworthiness, professionalism and a customer-centric approach to problem solving.
  • Qualifications in Information Technology or Business Administration
  • High attention to detail and excellent time-management skills.
  • Moderate understanding of the national freight industry.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Good communication, language, literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Moderate levels of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and strong data entry skills.
