Process claims associated with Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements Western Australia (DRFAWA) and maintain corporate practices, systems and databases.
Identifies and implements work practice and process improvements in financial management reporting areas to support achieving compliant outcomes and high performance of all processes and systems associated with claims and grant processing.
Stakeholder engagement
Review financial and claim evidence against established criteria to determine eligibility and prepare detailed communication to clearly articulate issues that require stakeholder provision of financial evidence and supporting information to demonstrate compliance.
Liaise with team members to coordinate priorities, workloads and workflow within the team to contribute to outcomes.
Maintain and support administrative practices, systems and procedures to improve efficiency and service delivery.
Undertake a quality assurance review on claim documentation to ensure compliance with State and Commonwealth Finance and Audit requirements; raise any non-compliance issues, with the officers responsible.
Criteria:
Experience in an Accounting, Financial Management, Business, Economic or Grants / Claims assessment environment within a complex organisation.
Ability to analyse financial information, including the ability to research and investigate issues and to quickly and accurately identify problems, resolve issues, and identify missing information with a key focus on assurance.
Well-developed organisational and planning skills, including the ability to plan and coordinate resources to deliver outcomes in a timely manner.
Demonstrated knowledge and application of Microsoft Office suite of products (in particular Microsoft Excel) and IT systems in support of financial services and in the development, maintenance and reporting of information.
