(dramatic drum roll) Woolloomooloo. Nestled in the heart of the popular wharf precinct, a short walk to the city's central business district, the hotel is surrounded by a wide selection of much-loved dining and nightlife options. Ovolo Woolloomooloo features 100 guest rooms, a state-of-the-art gym, meeting rooms and events spaces, a swimming pool, and Alibi Bar & Kitchen.The GigAt Ovolo Hotels, we're not your ordinary employer - we're the sound of popping champagne corks and confetti cannons going off! As part of the Sales Management Team you'll be orchestrating sales strategies and budgets, making sure our priorities are as clear as a whistle.Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining relationships with existing Conference & Events clients and agents.
- Source and build new relationships with Leisure agents and clients through strategic networking.
- Manage and create lead generation strategies.
- Work with GM’s and Marketing to identify, source and secure package opportunities.
- Conduct site inspection, famils and site reconciliations in line with our brand guidelines.
- Represent Ovolo at all relevant trade shows and networking events.
- Source & build a database and pipeline of Group revenue opportunities, clients and agents.
- Act in a Sales Leadership role to Ovolo GM and drive sales related queries throughout the team.
- Minimum 2 years in event/wedding sales/ coordination and enjoys the challenges of a fast paced sales environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Food and Beverage operations.
- You live and breathe run sheets, creative ideas and problem solving, and loves to exceed client expectations!
- A closer who loves to seal the deal and see your events conversion rate grow and grow and grow.
- Happy to roll your sleeves up and get dirty? Do you do whatever it takes? That is the attitude we are calling for!
- Good at Chess? You have multiple event spaces to play with endless possibilities.
- No such thing as pressure? Cool as a cucumber.
- A stickler for attention to detail, the little things count!
- An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing.
- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook whiz. Experience in Delphi/ Salesforce preferred
