An exciting opportunity for an Operational Risk Coordinator to join our Group Risk Department to support the University Operational Risk Management, Travel Risk Advice, Fraud and Corruption framework coordination.
- From $115,030 to $127,995 (HEW Level 8), plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading.
- Full time fixed-term role until July 2025. Based at Wallumattagal campus, North Ryde.

THE ROLE
Our Group Risk Department is seeking an experienced Operational Risk Coordinator to support the management of the University Operational Risk Management, Travel Risk Advice, and Fraud and Corruption framework coordination.
You will be supporting the Chief Risk Officer in delivering the University's Enterprise Risk Management function including the risk framework, risk appetite statements, strategic risks, tactical risks, and Operational Risk activities, and delivery of recommendations / actions of the internal audit review. You will also work with faculties and portfolios to develop and maintain risk profiles, identify existing controls and propose treatment actions.
About You
You have knowledge and experience in Operational Risk management, and you can demonstrate the application of that knowledge in how you have supported organisations in working with their first line management to develop, manage, maintain and report on Operational Risks.
You also have experience in providing international Travel Risk advice and Fraud and Corruption frameworks.
You have well-developed project management, analytical and evaluations skills, as well as strong communication skills with the ability to communicate and resolve complex and sensitive issues appropriately.

- AQF Certificate or Diploma of Risk Management (or equivalent relevant to Australia)
- 3-5+ years' experience as a risk professional
- Experience in delivering Operational Risk management requirements across a complex organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate and resolve complex or sensitive issues with senior management.
- Well-developed project management, analytical and evaluation skills.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to engage with a wide range of audiences.
Desirable
- Membership of a relevant professional association (e.g. GIA, ANZIIF, RMIA)
- Experience working within the tertiary education sector
- This position requires a criminal record check.
