Additional Information:
  • This role is Temporary (6 months) Full time, 76 hours per/fortnight.
  • The Hiring Manager for this role is Mayumi Kaneko - Interior Design Manager

  • You must have the availability to work 7:30am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday.
  • As part of the recruitment process this role requires a pre-employment check for final candidates.
  • If you are successful for this role, you will be required to obtain a National Police Check
Team vision ( title) About this work area
Team vision (text) As an Interior Design Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Using your passion for home furnishing to contribute to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.
  • Communicating and implementing your home furnishing knowledge to create and inspire home furnishing solutions for customers (involving customer visits) through creating in-room settings, homes, vignettes, and sales support areas that reflect the IKEA identity.
  • Stimulating and increasing the interest in home furnishing through constantly showing new and inspiring solutions that motivate people to visit the IKEA store frequently.
  • Assisting in building furniture and setting up new room-sets when required.
  • Using the IKEA product range to show the distinct and different styles that appeal to many individual tastes and needs within the local market.
  • Reflecting the IKEA Brand identity by creating visual impact in all commercial, sales support, and co-worker areas.

Let´s connect As an Interior Design Co-worker you are or you have:
  • A true passion for home furnishing and people's lives at home with a strong ability to inspire and transform living spaces.
  • An understanding of how to handle tasks with a practical, hands-on mindset often utilising tools like ladders and power tools.
  • A strong communicator, capable of guiding peers and influencing stakeholders to achieve design goals.
  • An ability to flourish in a dynamic and creatively charged environment, working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Experienced with programs such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe CC Suite, and Revit is preferred but not essential. Having an Interior Design/Architecture qualification, or previous experience is preferred.
