A full time position exists for immediate start to join our fast growing Financial Services and Business Advisory Team.

The Position 

The position involves joining an expanding company with country values, where you will work with a variety of clients across different industries, enabling you to further develop your professional career towards a senior role.

Working with the team will include:

• Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for:
  • Companies, Trusts, Partnerships and Sole Traders
• Preparation of Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements
• Assist Senior Accountants with preparing advice on tax and business issues
• Management of compliance requirements for a broad range of clients and businesses
• Able to communicate in a straightforward, open non-judgemental and respectful manner
• Share the load, understand the culture and goals of the organisation and the team. 

Qualifications and Skills (Selection Criteria)

• Degree Qualified
• Be willing to work towards or have completed CPA/CA
• Minimum 3 years business services experience with an Australian Accounting firm
• Proven experience in tax compliance work
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• Demonstrated accuracy, quality and efficiency
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Able work independently, be flexible and willing to take on the responsibilities 
• Ability to work to deadlines, continually improve and embrace change, staying connected with evolving world of technology
•  Ability to use, navigate and problem solve common client accounting      software packages (Xero and Xero Practice Manager - highly regarded)
