We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and client focused Intermediate Accountant to join our Business Advisory team in Melbourne. You will work under the leadership of highly experienced Managers and Partners and be part of a friendly and professional team . You will have the opportunity to deliver accounting and advisory services to a range of clients while supporting the work of the Business Advisory team. These include but are not limited to:
Manage the planning, execution and completion of client assignments.
Prepare financial statements, management and annual accounts.
Preparing tax returns including, GST, PAYE, FBT.
Liaising directly with clients to respond to queries or provide information, as requested.
Assist Partners/Managers with reviewing files as requested.
Provide and analyse financial and non-financial information to assist clients to monitor performance.
Participating in and contributing to team meetings.
Develop a deep understanding of various management accounting packages.

About you:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in public practice;
A degree in accounting/finance or undertaking or completed the CA program;
Have experience using accounting software including APS, MYOB and cloud based tools, e.g. Xero, QuickBooks;
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel;
Have a genuine interest and passion for building a career in Accounting and Business Advisory;
Exhibit excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, with the confidence to liaise with senior stakeholders and clients;
Be organised and able to manage your own priorities with tasks given to you by multiple managers;
Have a positive, helpful and solution driven mindset with an excellent attention to detail and a good understanding of numbers.
