Who are you?
We are looking for a skilled office administrator to assist our team of accountants and provide exceptional support to our clients. You’ll be the heart of our accounting team, keeping things running smoothly and essential to the continued enhancement of our service offering:
- You have demonstrated administrative experience – previous accounting administration is highly desirable.
- You have solid problem-solving, time management, and organisational skills.
- High standard of written and verbal communication skills with ability to connect and engage with clients and both internal and external stakeholders.
- Attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- You’re a team player, but you’re also comfortable working independently and taking the lead when necessary.
- You’re unafraid of human interaction and love a good challenge.
So what will you do?
This is a varied role where no two days will be the same, key accountabilities include:
- Permanent Full-time position, Monday - Friday.
- Answering and directing voice calls and emails.
- Writing personalised letters to clients.
- Packing and sending tax returns for individuals and larger groups.
- Dealing with paper and electronic mail including the use of ATO Smartdocs.
- Manage the reception area. Supervise the maintenance of office areas and equipment.
- Diary management.
- Provide office guests with a hospitable experience.
- Engagement, new client onboarding, and ethical clearance processes.
- Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office, ASIC, and other third parties. ASIC administration
- Liaising with staff and clients over the phone and email.
- You’ll be responsible for keeping our CRM and other systems accurate and up to date.
And of course, you’ll be doing all of this with a sense of humor and can-do attitude that makes our accounting team the best in the business!
Skills and experience
- Experience working in a public practice accounting or wealth management firm.
- Ability to think on your feet and not be afraid of change.
- An extremely strong desire to embrace technology, new software and always seek to identify better ways to do things, improve a process or automate a tedious task.
- Microsoft Excel Skills.
- Strong communication skills as you will be client facing on a regular basis.
- Experience with XERO, XPM, ASIC and ATO Tax Agent Portal.
