Internal Sales & Office Admin

Description:
We are an Australian owned and operated distributor with 50+ year history of supplying high-quality music instruments to retailers around Australia and New Zealand. We’re looking for an enthusiastic Internal Sales & Office Admin Officer to join our small friendly team based in Artarmon.

You will be working alongside other office-based sales and customer service team members and in cooperation with the warehouse team. You'll enjoy product training and ongoing support.

Some of the duties include but are not limited to:

• Responding promptly to inbound customer inquiries via phone, email and in-person.
• Accurately entering and processing of customer orders in an efficient manner.
• Informing customers of alternative products, specials, and changes to orders.
• Invoicing and creating shipping documentation for outgoing freight.
• Assisting with order enquiries such as pricing, returns and account issues.
• Updating customer database.
• Assisting with sales team and account support administration tasks.
• Collaborating with the warehouse team.
• Ordering and maintaining office supplies.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

• Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Outstanding phone manner.
• Organised and efficient. Able to multi-task.
• Proven performance in customer service and/or inside sales role (not necessarily related to this industry).
• Have an upbeat, mindful and enthusiastic approach.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word and Excel programs.
• Having had experience in B2B sales would be advantageous.
• Experience in the music industry and/or musical ability an advantage but not essential.

While experience from a similar role is preferred, if you have excellent interpersonal skills, possess a high attention to detail, are organised, punctual and have the ability to multi-task, then we’d like to hear from you.
