Purpose of Position:
To ensure that Comwire’s Internal Systems and processes are efficient, secure, and aligned with business objectives. To enhance overall productivity, leverage automation and scripting to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort in tasks, and mitigate the risk of resource errors.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute Internal Systems, projects, including upgrades/migrations, product on-boarding, software implementations, and process improvements;
- Implement a standardised approach for Patch Management across all supported desktop and server operating systems;
- Manage the outcomes of the patch management process and resolve any errors arising from patch installations;
- Managed device reference data within the RMM tool, ensuring that all supported devices are accurately tracked and that the outputs of RMM supported devices comply with the Billing Audit process;
- Manage alert and monitoring systems to ensure best practices are followed for implementing of alerts across all systems including; RMM, Ticketing, Documentation, EDR, FortiManager, InTune, Back Up, MO365 /AzureAD, Security Centre, Windows Defender/Identity, etc.
- Identify opportunities and innovations to continuously improve pro-active monitoring and management, targeted at reducing break-fix requirements for the technical team;
- Identify and develop automation opportunities leveraging tools, and using programming skills to build templates and scripts to complete repetitive engineering tasks;
- Working closely with our Head of Cyber Security, identify any operational & security risks to all Internal Systems/processes to ensure they meet our internal security standards;
- Ensure all changes to our internal environment, systems & infrastructure comply with a Change Management Process with stakeholder sign off, including having documentation to support;
- Mentor internal technical resources on any Internal Systems we use to support clients, including creating documentation for training resources;
- Coordination with third party vendors and solution providers to either coordinate project deliverables or resolve product issues for our Internal Systems;
- Where required, provide technical assistance & support to either the HelpDesk or Project teams

Technical Skills & Experience
- 5 Years previous MSP or System Administration related experience (essential)
- IT Qualification (Computer Science, Computing or Engineering) (essential)
- A current driver's license (essential)
- Industry certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, Fortinet, VMware (highly desirable, not essential)
- Working knowledge of Office 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Admin Portal and Directory Sync) (essential)
- Network Services (highly desirable, not essential)
- LAN Networks (Switching, Routing, VLANs)
- WAN and SDWAN Networks (Firewall/Fortinet, Routing, VPN)
- Experience in Hyper-V, Azure and/or AWS (highly desirable, not essential)
- Experience in technical script delivery and code production.
