About the Role
The Swinburne University of Technology is seeking a qualified International Admissions Systems Analyst to spearhead the optimisation, effective use, and enhancement of the University's International Admissions system. This role requires a deep understanding of International Admissions processes and experience in managing software platforms utilised in student admissions processes, with a focus on ensuring seamless system integrations.
This role will be responsible for guaranteeing the effectiveness, efficiency, and user-friendliness of Swinburne's International Admissions system for University staff, prospective students, and education agents. Additionally, the role involves providing recommendations for system enhancements, supporting internal and external users, and collaborating with system vendors for maintenance and administration tasks, including defect logging and reporting. Furthermore, the Analyst will deliver training and support to end users to ensure proficient system utilisation, including the development and updating of training materials and guides.
The successful candidate will bring with them a background in the higher education International Admissions space with IT skills to be able to successfully manage and operate systems and programs used by the University. Formal qualifications in information technology are not required, but an excellent understanding of how IT platforms allow enterprises to improve their operations is essential, and we welcome applications from candidates with a background in International Admissions who are interested in developing their careers further.
About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Demonstrated experience in analysing business requirements and identifying solutions to support business processes, in line with organisational policies and procedures
- Demonstrated high level analytical, conceptual, and problem solving skills, particularly in developing innovative solutions to problems/issues, and with a strong eye for attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including, negotiation, the ability to provide advice and support to staff, students, and internal and external stakeholders
- Extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields
