The Provedores operate from Coffs Harbour, Byron Bay, Newcastle and Tamworth and have an extensive reach.
The Role
Embarking on significant expansion, The Provedores are seeking a passionate Food knowledgeable Inventory Controller to manage and maintain our inventory in our Tamworth Branch. Reporting to the Operations and the Purchasing Managers, you will become a critical member of our team, where your sound knowledge of inventory principles, integrity and analytical thinking will be vital in achieving the growth and profit objectives of the Company.
Key Accountabilities will include but may not be limited to the following.
- Maintain inventory data integrity and track the accuracy of inventory.
- Conduct and analyse inventory cycle counts to identify errors and recommend corrective action.
- Conduct gap analysis and investigate causes of inventory discrepancies to drive the quality of work, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Undertake stock variance investigations.
- Process lost or damaged stock.
- Regularly report on stock movements.
- Liaise with the management team.
- Receive stock into the system.
About You
The successful applicant will possess the following skills and attributes.
- Previous experience in stock/inventory principles desirable but not essential.
- Ideally previous experience in a food service organisation is beneficial.
- Experience in inventory management.
- Forklift license is ideal but not required.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
