As Inventory Controller, decision-making will be backed by data and good judgement. You will be a hands-on operator and will perform warehouse inventory functions such as ordering, receival, sell-through analysis, stock and cycle counts. You will need to be a great communicator with the ability to confidently make recommendations to pursue great results. You will work closely with our Warehouse team and the Senior Management Team and be responsible for the full inventory process.
Specifically, you will be responsible but not limited to:
- Ordering stock from suppliers in line with stock forecasting tools
- Raising, maintaining and expediting purchase orders
- Investigating stock discrepancies/variances and errors
- Stock forecasting and analysis to identify fast and slow moving stock, and make recommendations
- Streamlining purchase to dispatch process
- Maintaining min/max points and MOQs
- Taking responsibility for receipting of goods in a timely manner
- Responsible for stock as part of the product onboarding process; liaise with other departments to organise opening orders and stock space
- Maintaining data integrity
- Managing stock cycle counts and rolling stocktakes
- Managing supplier promotional pricing and bulk-buying deals as well as initiating deals to match demand
- Collaborating across departments to achieve company objectives
- Owning the relationship with our freight partners
- Prepared to assist the warehouse when required
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Experience in Inventory Control
- Ability to lift up to 20kg weight is essential
- Ability to absorb pressure and be professional in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work within budget parameters
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and take ownership over the role
- Ability to take initiative to get the best outcome for business goals
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A can-do attitude with strong work ethic and self-motivation
- Strong computer skills including intermediate to advanced MS Office skills
