The Inventory Controller will oversee and optimize our inventory management processes. As an Inventory Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and availability of stock levels, managing raw material production requirements, and effectively converting stock to meet production demands. In this role you will:
- Develop and implement inventory control strategies to maintain accurate stock levels and ensure the availability of materials for production.
- Conduct regular cycle counts to validate inventory accuracy and reconcile discrepancies, ensuring alignment between physical stock and system records.
- Monitor stock levels, anticipate demands, and collaborate with procurement and production teams to optimize inventory levels and avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
- Collaborate with production planning and procurement teams to accurately forecast raw material requirements based on production schedules and customer orders.
- Stock Conversion: Coordinate the conversion of stock items to finished goods, ensuring efficient utilization of materials, and minimizing waste.
- Conduct periodic audits to assess inventory accuracy, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to maintain data integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, logistics, and finance, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of inventory-related activities.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to inventory management, recordkeeping, and reporting.
Your experience includes:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as an Inventory Controller or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control principles, techniques, and best practices.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends or issues.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
