About the role

This is a full-time opportunity located in Brisbane CBD.

The Inventory Planning Leader is responsible for leading Inventory Planning requirements & projects, developing and maintaining aggregated demand plans, to deliver materials in accordance with operational requirements. Development of material planning projections and provide recommendations for sourcing and optimisation of inventory to ensure asset availability is operating to expected and planned levels.

Key activities include:

  • Develop and maintain an aggregate demand plan that reflects overall long-term strategic demand for inventory.
  • Communicate and negotiate directly with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, to identify the business needs in terms of material demand profile with agreed performance parameters.
  • Manage improvement and optimisation opportunities within the inventory portfolio and ensure delivery on identified priorities.
  • Provide leadership and management direction to the Group Inventory Team. Instilling a high level of business and supply chain acumen in serving the interest of Stanwell.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills to ensure that knowledge and understanding of business strategies and process improvement initiatives are passed on to members of the Group Inventory Team.

 About you

  • Practical experience in supply chain industry, in particular inventory management and warehousing in a complex industrial, maintenance, engineering, or production environment.
  • Experience in a commercial or improvement team or specific experience in related optimisation area such as supply chain and procurement.
  • Knowledge and experience in the development, implementation and control of inventory demand planning and related strategies aligned to asset management, maintenance management, operations, and logistics.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively along with a high level written and oral communication skills with the ability to persuade and influence outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and sound decision-making skills.
