Based in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, this mechatronics/data engineer will be supporting the project delivery team on a tier one project within one of Australia’s largest pharmaceutical companies. The successful candidate will fulfill this roles’ responsibilities for a period of 12 months with the potential to extend.
Main responsibilities:
- Assessing the commissioned equipment and identifying components that may impact manufacturing due to failure.
- Analysing plant equipment and breakdown into subcomponents; liaise with relevant department and/or Project Engineer/s to identify spare part requirements.
- Sourcing quotations and raise requisitions for parts and services required by projects.
- Negotiating with suppliers to reduce the cost and lead times in procuring spare parts.
- Liasing with suppliers to expedite late orders of critical parts.
- Assisting with maintenance of SAP/EWM Database through creation/updating of assets and creation/updating of PM’s and associated tasks.
- Creating and maintaining parts in SAP according to documentation handed over from Project Engineers.
- Maintaining the link between parts and equipment in the field [where used]
- Attending review meetings to ensure part information being entered is correct
- At least a Diploma in a scientific, engineering or IT field.
- Worked with data systems such as SAP.
- Worked with a PLC/PCS such as Siemens PCS-7 or Siemens Step 7
- 2-3 years’ experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment
- The ability to work well with others.
- Attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- FULL and UNRESTRICED working rights in Australia.
