Job description
As our Investigator you will: - Conduct, coordinate and run concurrently, lengthy, complex investigations and surveillance operations whilst maintaining high level administrative and investigatory practices.- Have a comprehensive knowledge and skill in the preparation of briefs of evidence and presentation to court either as prosecutor or as a witness.- Manage competing investigations to address QBFP priorities.- Train staff regarding investigations including surveillance and investigative techniques.- Perform an intelligence analysis function to inform on local, regional and State fisheries investigations.- Effectively prioritise and allocate resources and activities to mitigate high risk threats to fisheries sustainability and industry investment.- Develop and maintain effective relationships with QBFP District staff and other Fisheries Queensland staff to facilitate effective investigations.- Develop and maintain effective relationships and networks with other compliance agencies to facilitate effective interagency investigations as required.- Ensure that QBFP investigations are delivered in line with program outcomes.
