Your New Role
With more than A$335 billion in assets under management, AustralianSuper is Australia's largest superannuation fund and one of the 20 largest pension funds in the world.
As the Fund continues to grow, we continue to leverage our size, scale and long-term investment horizon to access attractive investment opportunities globally for members. This includes building our global investment capability - with a particular focus on private markets and enhancing our on-the-ground presence in key investment markets, including London and New York.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Investment Relations, the Investment Relations Consultant is responsible for helping build the Fund's global profile as an astute and responsible long-term institutional investor, with a core focus on professional stakeholders (including investment partners, intermediaries, talent, media and government) in both domestic and international markets.
Please note that this is an initial 12-month contract role. We are looking for someone to join the team on a part-time basis, 3 days a week, and are open to discussions regarding the part-time nature of this role.
Specifically, the Investment Relations Consultant will be responsible for:
- Creating investment-related content, collateral and resources (targeting professional, external investment stakeholders)
- Supporting AustralianSuper brand development and Fund profile-building activities with professional investment stakeholders
- Creating investment-related content for internal audiences.
Key duties include, but are not limited to:
- Contributing to the development of key narratives and sourcing of proof points that position AustralianSuper as an astute and responsible long-term institutional investor with the Fund's professional investment stakeholders (including investment partners, intermediaries, talent, media, government)
- Developing and distributing general and audience-specific content, collateral and resources (including Fact Sheets, presentations, case studies, key messages)
- Creating and working with the Digital team to create investment-related website content targeting external, professional investment audiences
- Helping identify opportunities for and support the creation of Investments-related social media content for LinkedIn
- Supporting the development of investment-related brand collateral and resources
- Supporting the development of the investor value proposition
- Contributing to the creation of briefing notes and key messages on the Fund's investment program and global buildout for senior executives
- Contributing to the creation of investment-related induction materials for Australian and international colleagues
- Helping identify opportunities for and support the creation of Investments-related internal communications
- Engage with key stakeholders internally to source data and share information that aligns with the Fund's strategy and key messages
What You'll Need
- Demonstrated experience within investment communications, working for a global asset manager or investment organisation
- Good understanding of investment concepts and asset classes is essential
- Good understanding of professional investment stakeholders is essential
- Excellent communication skills, especially written, with an ability to simplify and effectively articulate complex information to a range of stakeholder audiences
- Experience producing external communications, including website content, presentations and other collateral
- Excellent PowerPoint proficiency
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Good project and time management skills
- The ability to build strong internal relationships and engage constructively with internal teams, including Investment teams
