The Investment Consultant role sits within the Zenith Consulting Division, where you will be contributing to the business through a wide range of client-focused activities. You will play an important role as a conduit between our portfolio, sales/distribution teams and our clients drawing on your strong investment / product specialist skillsYour key responsibilities will be to:
- Prepare for and participate in client meetings, including but not restricted to investment committee meetings
- Account management / relationship management of investment committee responsibilities for nominated clients
- Respond to client queries pre and post Investment Committee meetings and other ad-hoc requests
- Assist with providing rationale for any portfolio changes made for the respective quarter as well as performance and market commentary
- Overseeing/reviewing market reports (E.g., Monthly Market Report & Quarterly Market Report)
- Development of investment content for clients and consultants as required
- Produce client materials for presentations, RFPs, and other ad-hoc projects
- Writing material for Quarterly Portfolio Reporting
- Assist in enhancing and/or develop client reporting as we continue to refine going forward
- Build and maintain contact with fund managers within a specific area of expertise. Stay up-to-date with investment processes, teams and products in respective asset classes
- Take lead research responsibility for your designated sector(s), ensuring that our strategy and manager selection in these sectors is thoroughly researched, documented and articulated
- Support sales team with prospective consulting clients. Where required, participate in sales meetings describing details of Zenith’s consulting services
- Assist in responding to queries and provision of documentation to prospective clients
- Co-ordinate the provision of editorial stories to trade journals / magazines as required
- Present on investment themes and portfolio positioning both internally and externally over time
- You will ideally have a degree or higher in Finance, Commerce or Business
- You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- You must have the ability to work independently and take ownership of your own workload
- You must have exceptional presentation skills and strong attention to detail
- You will ideally have 3+ years work experience within investment consulting, investment research or financial planning
- Your must have a strong understanding of financial markets and investments
- Broad experience with various types of investments and their characteristics, including equities, fixed income, credit and private assets
- Your knowledge of investment structures and portfolio construction will be well regarded
