Collins Executive Recruitment has been exclusively mandated to support a prestigious and growing Family Office based in South Melbourne. Their talented investment team invest across various asset classes, including direct global equities and derivatives, hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, credit and real estate.
Due to the continued growth of assets under management, a position has opened for an Investment Analyst to primarily support their listed equity strategies. Their current portfolio of listed strategies includes long-term global equities, technical macro, high dividends, volatility hedging, and quantitative ETFs.
Upon successful hire, you will be involved in trade execution, financial modelling, valuation, portfolio construction, portfolio management, company and economic research, backtesting current strategies and researching new strategies.

Upon successful hire, you will be involved in:
- Trade order and execution via Enfusion and Bloomberg EMSX
- Monitoring trading signals and distributing daily notes to the broader team
- Optimising and improving existing trading strategies and algorithms
- Backtesting new trading strategies and algorithms
- Designing, building and maintaining complex models to support investment research and strategy
- Analysing current market, economic and broad investment trends
- Attending and contributing to Investment Committee (IC) meetings
- Collaborating with the Reporting Analyst on operational and performance reporting tasks
- Ad hoc general investment support for the wider portfolio
- Undergraduate degree in actuarial studies, economics, computer science, finance, mathematics or similar
- Experience in a relevant investment or markets-related role
- Strong research, analytical and programming skills
- Experience with Excel and financial modelling
- Reasonable knowledge of investments, accounting and economics
- Working towards a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification is advantageous
- Experience with trade order and execution management systems (OEMS) is advantageous
- Experience with Bloomberg and Bloomberg Query Language (BQL) is advantageous
