About the Role
We are seeking an Irrigation Operator to join our team at our Mundubbera blueberry farm. In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of the irrigation, fertigation, and reverse osmosis systems. This position offers a hands-on opportunity for an individual who is eager to contribute to the development of an innovative irrigation program.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Installing and maintaining farm irrigation and fertigation systems
- Assisting the Farm Manager in planning irrigation schedules
- Operating reverse osmosis filtration
- Maintaining accurate and detailed digital records
- Complying with workplace health and safety standards
We are seeking a self-motivated individual who is willing to apply themselves to the best of their ability. In addition, you should possess the following:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Comprehensive knowledge of horticultural irrigation requirements (desirable)
- Willingness to use technology as part of your role
- Hold a current drivers’ license
- Hold a current forklift license (desirable)
- ChemCert (or similar), or willingness to obtain
- Strong team member and a can-do attitude
